Summer Fun Workshops



One and Two Week Programs     Ages 7 – 11

Take one or all three this summer

Send us your child for a week or more – we’ll return engineers, writers, 
illustrators and performers. 

Comic Books

July 9 – 13               9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Give life to the superheroes and heroines of your imagination. Discover what it takes to create a comic book – from building characters, plotlines and settings to writing, illustrating, and publishing your own story. While you are entrenched in the art of comic books, we will sneak in science, language arts, math, social studies and art.

Puppet Theater

July 16 – 27             

9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Calling all performers! Explore the actor within through the magic of puppetry. Sculpt and costume your own rod puppet, write an original script, build a set, record the soundtrack – rehearse, rehearse, rehearse – then perform on the museum stage for family, friends and visitors.

Rocket Science

July 30 – August 3    9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Launching rockets is thrilling, but not nearly as satisfying as launching one you designed and built with your own hands. Employ the basic elements of aerodynamic principles to make your rocket soar. Assemble the engine, prop out the fins, smooth the edges, design your parachute system, decorate your 

rocket…and launch.
