Yes2 Teen Opportunities

Youth Enrichment: Grades 6 – 12

The mission of the Youth Enrichment at Stepping Stones (YES2) is to provide meaningful opportunities to students in grades 6 – 12 by developing skills, inspiring leadership and encouraging talents of the youth team. Through participation in training, mentorship, events and workshops, participants are provided with the tools and confidence to impact children, find success in future endeavors and to become life long learners.

Youth Enrichment Opportunities

YES2 Exhibit Guide
Provide hands-on facilitation of museum exhibits and gallery content for the visitors. The YES2 Exhibit Guide assists staff in keeping exhibits neat and clean, and reports any problems to museum staff. In this role, the participant can also create and put into motion educational activities for visitors. You are an ambassador of the museum to all of our visitors!

YES2 Events
One of the biggest and most fun parts of being in YES2 is being able to attend – and in many cases, help create – events that are just for YES2 participants. These activities are designed to strengthen your social-emotional skills by introducing you to new people and new friendships! These events include Movie Nights, Comedy Nights, Culture Nights, picnics, field trips and social outings. New and lasting friendships are a cornerstone of YES2 and these events are the heart of them!

YES2 Clubs
YES2 participants have formed several clubs – there might be one for your interests! You can help shelter animals and be a part of the
Mutt-i-grees® program of the with the MUTTS Club. Plan and make videos with the Film Club. Play games new and old in the Gaming Unplugged Club. Create fantastic art in the Art Club. You might even be able to create your own club!

Art and Culture Exchanges
Share your experiences as an American teen with students in other countries. ArtLink, a collaboration with Creative Connections, partners
the YES2 program with art classes from around the globe to learn about world culture and share artwork. Past partners include The Gambia, Cambodia, Guatemala, Jordan, Brazil, India, Russia and Uganda.
