Scout Badge ProgramsGirl Scouts and Cub Scouts can choose from several interactive workshops that meet badge requirements. Reservations required. Brownie Girl Scouts
Art to Wear
Become an artist and create four wearable pieces of art including a papier-mâché mask and colorful jewelry. Creativity and individuality will come shining through during this workshop.
Puppets, Dolls and Plays
Using a familiar story from world literature, create a variety of puppets and put on a unique puppet show.
Science in Action
Perform unusual and interesting science experiments and learn about the amazing ways that science affects our live. Make your own glop and explore gases and color mixing.
Senses
Scouts Discover how important the five senses are while they map their own tongues, try to find their “scent” partners, fool their own eyes and more.
Water Everywhere
We know that water can cool us down on a hot day, but did you know that it has a “skin”? Examine the many unique qualities of water while learning ways to help conserve this precious natural resource.
Junior Girl Scouts
Drawing and Painting*
You have never seen drawing and painting quite like this! Scouts will practice different methods of creating artwork including finger-painting, sponges and media.
Earth Connections
Explore Rainforest Adventure, and discover the wonders of this diverse habitat. Investigate relationships in an ecosystem and learn about ecological issues, including how you play a part in conserving the rainforest, all while earning the Earth Connections badge.
Making it Matter
Scouts will get their hands on different types of matter while building structures and experimenting safely with circuits. They will then make their own polymer that they can take home and use to amaze family and friends.
Science Discovery*
Scientists have all the fun! Scouts will create colorful kaleidoscopes, be dazzled with optical illusions, experiment with surface tension and participate in a ‘disappearing act’ in this workshop.
Theater
Scouts will learn that there is a lot more to acting than just memorizing lines. They experiment with character traits, emotions and the importance of a properly selected costume.
Weather Watch
Investigate how and why weather rules our world through a variety of weather experiments and activities. Visit our Weather Zone to explore weather maps and forecasting, build a weather instrument, and learn about clouds while earning the Weather Watch badge.

Cub Scouts - Tiger
Achievement 1: Making My Family Special
Create an original scrapbook to store your favorite family memories. Learn about a Chachi family that lives in Ecuador with a visit to Rainforest Adventure. Scouts complete with “Den Activity” and “Go See It!” portions of Achievement 1.
Achievement 3: Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe NEW
Staying healthy and safe includes many things. To be as healthy as we can be, it is important to eat good foods, get plenty of sleep, and exercise to keep our bodies strong. To be safe, it is important to understand what to do in case of emergencies.
Cub Scouts - Wolf
Achievement 3: Keep Your Body Healthy
What does it mean to be healthy? Scouts will learn ways to keep their bodies in top form by drinking the right amount of water, washing their hands using proper techniques, eating the right foods and more.
Achievement 7: Your Living World
Our world is the only one we have. Learn about pollution, ecology and conservation so that you can help protect our world.
Cub Scouts - Bear
Achievement 11: Be Ready
You can expect firefighters, police officers, and paramedics to help and protect you in an emergency. Sometimes, though, you have to take care of yourself or someone until help arrives. After completing Be Ready, you will be ready to do the right thing if this happens.
Achievement 13: Saving Well, Spending Well NEW
You might have an allowance, or you might earn money for the things you need each week. Money is going to be important to you all your life. Saving Well, Spending Well will help you learn how to manage your money.
Cub Scouts - Webelo
Showman Badge: Puppetry
Go behind the scenes of a puppet show. Create different types of puppets, write a play with your fellow scouts and put on a puppet show while earning the Showman badge.
Readyman NEW
In emergencies, someone has to be ready to help. After you earn the Readyman badge, you'll know how to react quickly when someone is ill or injured.
Badges by Night
$35 per scout
What’s lurking in the shadows of the museum at night? Scouts, of course! Join us for an exciting overnight program where scouts earn badges, explore the museum and spend the night among the exhibits.
Includes workshop, free exploration of the museum galleries, continental breakfast and a unique overnight patch.
Minimum 40 scouts, maximum 75 scouts.
Groups will be combined to meet the minimum.
No fee for chaperones meeting the recommended 1:5 ratio.
$15 for each additional chaperone.
